The Magic of VOODOO MARKET N°10 || 9th March 2013

25 Mar

On the 09th of March, VOODOO MARKET returned for the second time to Urban Spree in Berlin, Friedrichshain.

For the 10th edition of the VOODOO MARKET we spared no effort to introduce you in addition to the wonderful participants from the last 9 editions, to new talents. As always, the VOODOO magic was made of a mix of different crafts and artists. In addition to handmade fashion and object design, for the first time ever, there was a VOODOO Vintage Salon where international vintage collectors showed the finest of past decades fashion design. Another highlight were the artist’s studios on the 2nd Floor of Urban Spree where questions could be directed at artists and fine design could be watched while coming to life. And did you see our food corner?  It seemed the long winter made us all very hungry. Who would have thought that Porridge could be so diverse? Our friends from Etsy were back with their photo station and put a lot of smiles on the visitors faces with funny props and a photo to go home with.

Looking forward to Spring and see you in June!!

60 designers are waiting for you to present you their collection and art work, so don’t get lost! Here is a little map to help you:

Accessories designer: Rockgranny

6 Mar

Rockgranny is born in Berlin in november 2012 from the crafty maniac and creative mind Teresa, already involved with Beejoux and Oplà Minishop.

Active on the italian and dutch crafty scene for many years already, after moving to Berlin the lack of space and materials forced her to re-invent herself, starting to work again with crochet, knits and yarns that she has been loving (and neglecting) for many years. that’s how Rockgranny is born, and it reflects perfectly her style and personality: a bit granny, and very rock and roll.
bright colors and funky designs: that’s how a traditional technique is reinvented to become young and fun. come meet me at voodoo!
